Lunch at TEDx Amsterdam gives everyone time to digest not only lovely sandwiches but the vast number of exciting thoughts provoked by the speakers. It's also a chance to meet some of the amazing guests who have been speaking on the stage. And just enough time after all of that to let our readers behind the scenes of TEDx.
The event is being held at the Royal Tropical Institute, which used to be known as the Colonial Institution, as Jan Donner, its President, told the audience in a short speech. Its mission now is less imperalistic: to alleviate poverty, engage in cultural exchange (and to that end we've already seen X Factor on the video screen, below) and promote sustainability. All these aims have been touched on throughout the course of the morning.
