RoboForm 2Go Keeps Passwords Secure

RoboForm2Go_177_216There are two things that are sure in life online: username and password. How much time do we spend a day typing in those things? What if you could just eliminate that part of your day? You could probably save a few minutes per day.

This is what RoboForm 2Go is designed to do. Similar to the IDVault, it can plug into the USB drive and remember what you typed in for your passcodes.

So the next time you go onto your favorite site, all you have to do is approve the RoboForm 2Go’s request to automatically fill in the proper codewords.

It also creates a toolbar on your Internet browser that will remember where you were, so you can click on it like a Bookmark. The Roboform 2Go also has a program that enables you to fill in other forms. It works like a database where you can enter in personal information like name, address, phone number. Roboform 2Go stores this information and will automatically upload it on an online form as you wish.

So if you fill out a lot of job applications or other online forms, you can make your job easier by using Roboform 2Go.

In short, the Roboform 2Go saves you time little by little, so you can have time for other things on your computer. You can learn more about the Roboform 2Go on the official website here.

Elecom Sundries Contrast Headphones fold up

elecom-fashionable-headphones_1

One thing that has always bothered me about carrying headphones is that they don’t last as well when they’re just tossed in a bag or purse.  They have too many flimsy parts that eventually get bent or broken.  Well Elecom has a set of headphones that would be great for those of you that are always just carelessly tossing your gadgets in with various other items.

Since these fold so well, you won’t have to worry about the band having issues.  Plus these headphones come in a wide range of colors to choose from.  The band itself on this bends and then wraps around the headphones to keep them safe.  If you’re just not that great at remembering to be careful, this would be one way to protect your headphones from, well, you.  You can purchase a set of these for ¥ 5,100.00 or about $57 from Geek Stuff 4U.  They aren’t out just yet though, they will ship out at the end of October.

HTPC Remote with Wireless Keyboard

htpc_remoteOne of the problems with the keyboards made for HTPCs (Home Theater Personal Computers) is they tend to be too big and bulky. Unless you have a Logitech diNovo Mini, you might want to look at this very intriguing Wireless Keyboard and HTPC remote.

Yes, that is what this is, not some new version of BlackBerry or some prototype version of the Palm Pre. This is a wireless keyboard that works via wireless dongle, and that “screen” that you see is a touchpad.

According to the official sales site, it can be used for many applications in presentation including: changing slides, selecting screen options, writing on a projected image, as well as emphasize words and objects with dynamically inserted lines.

In addition to its ability to help presentations, it can be used on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Nintendo Wii. It is also good for those for those who love to watch internet TV on their PC.

In addition to being a HTPC remote control, it is an IPTV remote control, or CarPC remote control. I suppose this makes it a double 3-in-1, as it is a keyboard, mouse, and touchpad.

If you want to get this one, feel free to go to this particular website and get it for $40 in black and white.

Alligetter Grabber LED Tool

alligetter

It’s never good when you manage to drop something down in a crack that’s impossible to get into.  It always seems like it happens in a very dark area that’s close to impossible to get at.  Then to top it off, you had to drop something expensive and irreplaceable.  It’s just the way it works.  Well Now you can have an Alligetter Grabber LED Tool to save the day.  It’ll make sure that nothing ever stays out of your reach for long.

Not only will it grab things out of those hard to reach places, but it lights the way as well.  It has serrated teeth to make sure it can grip things even better and a spring-loaded trigger to grab them.  The handle itself can fold away for easy storage.  It also comes with a flap spreader to make it easier to grab things out of the garbage disposal.  The tool itself is 15” long and takes 4 button batteries, which are included upon purchasing the item.  You can pick it up for $19.95 from The Wireless Catalog.

Strap a camera to your head with a VholdR Contour 1080p

ContourHD1080p_270x201It has been a while since we covered anything by VholdR, the “big little camera”. The company has recently announced the ContourHD 1080p, and it appears to be made for those that want to strap a camera on their head.

It certainly is light enough at 4.3 ounces, and records video footage on microSD cards. The battery life is sufficient for 2-3 hours per charge.

Believe it or not, it shoots in five modes, to remember them, use the simple acronym FTACF:

• Full HD – 1080p (1920×1080) at 30fps
• Tall HD – 960p (1280×960) at 30fps
• Action HD – 720p (1280×720) at 60fps
• Contour HD – 720p (1280×720) at 30fps
• Fast SD – WVGA (848×480) at 60fps

Just to let you know, the camera is not as waterproof as this rafter in the photo is illustrating. It has an aluminum body that is weather and dust resistant, but you’ll have to buy the waterproof case separately if you want to take it on the water.

So for all those who want to wear a camera on their head to record their awesome life for all to see, then surely the VholdR Contour HD 1080p is for you. It even has a big red button to start recording, and you presumably push it to stop.

You should be able to purchase the camera come mid-October for about $329.99.

Belkin Conserve Surge with Timer

conserve_surge

When it comes to conserving energy and your electronics, sometimes it’s easier said than done.  It would be fairly easy to just flip a switch on your surge protector to power everything down.  However, when it’s way underneath the desk, it takes a lot more effort.  That shouldn’t matter, but in all honesty, it does end up making it so that you power everything down less often.  Well Belkin has come out with a solution that’s not only convenient, but it’s affordable as well.

This has an automatic timer that will turn off all of the electronics plugged into the surge protector after they’ve been running for 11 hours.  There are a total of six outlets that will shut off at that point.  What’s really great is that there are two that will stay on.  Which means although everything else is shut down, your computer can stay up and running.  It’d be great for businesses that need to cut down on their power consumption.  There is also a button that can be placed on the desk that will turn those items back on or off.  You can purchase the surge protector for $34.99.

So Long Roadster, Hello Shaggin’ Wagon: Tesla Vans Coming Soon [Tesla]

In addition to making electric roadsters, Tesla is also planning on making electric minivans, cross-over utility vehicles and vans, at least according to VP Diarmuid O'Connell. He doesn't give any specifics, but it sounds good to me. [AutoBlog via Engadget]

Mphony Is the AV Receiver I Want to Have [Audio]

Yes, I’m a touch freak, and I love the Mphony AV receiver. No buttons except for what it looks like a big analog wheel. The rest is just one giant touchscreen covering the whole front plate:

According to he manufacturer/designer—it looks like it’s still a concept to me—the touchscreen hierarchical menu system will make it easier to setup and use than a normal AV receiver. I can see their point, but then… Wouldn’t it be better to have no buttons or touchscreen at all in the receiver, and control it all from your iPhone, iPod touch, Zune HD, or whatever smartphone/tabletish device you choose?
